Independence Day, also commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States of America that gained independence on July 4th 1776 during the American Revolution of the legal separation of the 13 colonies from Great Britain. We celebrate it with fireworks, parades, barbecues and carnivals and other things.
