5 facts about Terry Fox

1. Terry was born on July 28th 1958 in Winnipeg Manitoba. He was the second oldest of four children.

2. He developed cancer below his right knee and had to get it amputated.

3. He ran across Canada to raise money for cancer. He started his journey in St. John's after dipping his foot in the Atlantic Ocean. He was going to run all the way to Vancouver.

4. Sadly he had to end his journey in Thunder Bay when his cancer returned.

5. He died on June 28th 1981 in Vancouver British Columbia at the age of 22.
